Call For Writers

Are you a writer inspired by the theme of connection, culture, and identity? The Art of Being Black (TABB) invites submissions for its project, ROOTED, an exploration of what it means to feel anchored, connected, and grounded.
Prompt:
"What does 'Rooted' mean to you?"
We are looking for pieces that delve into personal, cultural, or communal interpretations of "Rooted."
Your work can take the form of:
Letters
Poetry
Prose
Drama
Fiction/Nonfiction
Wherever creativity takes you.
Details:
Compensation: $150 per selected write-up.
Number of Writers: We are selecting 10 writers to contribute to this project.
Submission Deadline: December 20th, 2024.
Word Limit: Up to 1,500 words (for prose and drama) or 40 lines (for poetry).
Eligibility:
Open to writers of all experience levels.
Submissions must be original.

A short bio (100 words max).
